Kathleen Wilson is widely known in the San Juan Islands and elsewhere as an accomplished vocalist. Her concerts are almost always sold out. Kathleen displayed her talent as a jazz singer in this concert. There were a few tears shed as she sang with sensitivity "His Eye Is On the Sparrow." Especially popular was the concluding piece as she belted out "Oh, Happy Day!"

Not to be overlooked are the backup singers, Margaret Baker (who is also Music Director at Saint Davids), Judy Holm, and Roberta Leed. Their job was to add vocal depth and variety to a piece. A job well done !

Put all this talent together and we have one fine jazz ensemble that can lift the human spirit to the heavens....and have fun doing it !

And, finally, to be appreciated are the efforts of the youth of St. David's, who tried mightily to keep everyone's glucose level up (and make a few dollars) during the intermission.
