Renovation of St. Davids
St. David's has taken the leap and the congregation is committed to a renovation program to expand the church and create a unified "sacred space" out of its property. See plans (pdf. file). The following are photos and text that catalogue the progress of this project.

| Introducting the "Master Mind" and the "Master Builder" of St. David's project. Richard Hobbs (on the left) is the architect and largely the inspiration for this project. Richard is an internationally known architect (see his website at: http://www.richardwhobbs.com ). He currently is designing projects for Roche Harbor, as well as for St. Davids. Nick Gervasi (seated) has had 25 years of outstanding experience in the design and construction of multi-million dollar residential and commercial projects. He's the "nuts and bolts" man, who makes sure that the day to day work gets accomplished correctly. St. Davids feel very fortunate to have such highly qualified men to design and oversee our project. | |||||||||||

| Introducing the triumvirate of officials who will help supervise the beginning "deconstruction phase. Notice the jocular comraderie that is characteristic of supervisors, along with the subtle "hands-in-pocket" signifying that nothing will dirty these, if you please. | |||||||||||

| Then, of course, there is the Corp of Kibizers who stand by, looking nonchalant, joking, and offering advice while the worker bees are struggling with their tasks. Lots of hands-in-pockets around this place ! | |||||||||||

| Now the real worker bees get to work, unbolting pews and stacking them. This must really be "man's work," since the women are somewhat removed from the workspace. | |||||||||||

| This is a great example of worker bee cooperation. Rug rolling demands great team effort. Are all worker bees male? Whoops, still some hands-in-the pockets in the background...it's epidemic ! | |||||||||||
