ABOUT THE GROUP:
MUSICA NOVA, a proposed a cappella ensemble for twelve to fifteen singers, is in the process of being formed. The group will perform unaccompanied choral music of all compositional styles, but its particular focus will be music from the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Performances and rehearsals will be a cappella, with instruments being added as required. MUSICA NOVA is a sponsored program of St. David’s Episcopal Church, Friday Harbor, and will serve as Artists in Residence of the church. Rehearsals as well as performances will take place in its acoustically pleasing space.
