St. Francis Day and the Blessing of the Animals
Page 2.

Not to be forgotten are fellow fowl creatures as this one being tended by this young man. A virtual snake also makes its appearance asking that all be forgiven and forgotten in that Garden of Eden incident. Snakes got a bit of a bad rap and they, too, need to be blessed.
Another dog, loved by these two young lasses, gets his share of dog cookies, er, blessings from Darlene.
Even a grumpy Garfield gets his blessing and a little TLC from his person.
After the animals were returned to their cars, parishiones gathered for services in their crowded temporary sanctuary. Many looked longly outside the window at our new still-unfinished sanctuary with a prayer on their lips, "How long, O Lord, how long?"
