We are a community of Episcopalians devoted to worship, fellowship, and open-hearted welcome to all our island neighbors and the visitors who join us. We are a congregation that welcomes doubt, questions, and individuality. Some of us have worshipped at St. David’s for decades and others have joined just in the past few years. Some of us feel most nurtured by the poetry of Rite I services, while others appreciate the more inclusive language of Rite II. Some prefer a quiet service and others pray best by singing. Our membership includes a deacon, a lay preacher, a composer of sacred music, a number of talented musicians, and many individuals with a passion for service.

We are a people who see needs in the wider community and work together to meet them. In this spirit we have committed to support of our local food bank and family resource center, established a safe space for AA meetings, opened our doors to community use such as choir practices and Hospice grief support groups, and founded an affordable preschool to serve working families. We believe community care also means doing our utmost to protect the vulnerable among us from Covid-19. As we have resumed in-person church services, we continue to distance, wear masks, and take extra precautions with air circulation as indicated by the most current scientific research. We look forward to the return of our children, absent from our midst until they can be vaccinated.
