Fletchers donate land in town

Gryphon Hall is built – serves as church

  • John Dickinson designs St. David’s Church and construction begins

Rev. Edward Douglas Leche III and family move into Gryphon Hall

  • Rev. Leche serves island for 21 years

1989-1992

A series of interim clergy

  • Johnson West (1989), Edward Wallace (1989-1991), Charles Hunter (1992)

1993-2001

Rev. West Davis presides over an expansion of the congregation

  • St. David’s becomes an official parish in 1999

2002-2008

Rev. Nancy Tiederman hired

  • Major renovation of the church

2008-2020

Father Doug Simonsen brought in as Priest in Charge and stays for 12 years

  • 2010 Capital Campaign – mortgage burned in 2017
  • 2012 – many programs started – Vision Action Support Team; Activities Committee
