The Youth Page (cont.)

A priority project for St. David's Youth is to raise enough money to go on an excursion to Wild Waves on Lopez Island, or is it at Federal Way? Whatever. Anyway, they sponsored a Car Wash at the front of Griffin Hall and raised a whopping $755 !! That should at least pay for a down payment on the water bill and maybe have enough left over to fatten the purse to pay for the excusion, too.

			Pictured here is the car wash crew all bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to tackle the task. The youth director in the background casts a wary eye on her workers. Is that a whip in her hand or a hose?
							Notice the enthusiasm when a high profile sedan comes in for a wash. Not sure what the little one is looking for in that bucket. Maybe she is waiting to have her hair washed? Or looking for a tip?
	Even the more plebian low profile "Peoples Car" got the same loving care. Perhaps the egalitarian ethics of Jesus is at work here? Let's hope so.
							And even the ubiquitous SUV, though frowned upon by some of the more puritanical elements of the church for its gas guzzling tendencies, gets a good scrubbing under the critical eye of the youth director. No discrimination here.
		Good work, kids. And may Neptune smile on you as those Wild Waves give YOU a good scrubbing.
